Copacabana locates at the Shores of the Bolivian side of Lake Titikaka, it is up to today Bolivia`s biggest catholic Sanctuary, given the fact that in Copacabana, the famous “Dark Virgin” is found, wood carved in 1582 this unique virgin makes one of the country’s biggest catholic icons, reason why specially during weekends many Bolivian people gather around to “Bless” their cars and wish for their “miniature” new possessions to become true.. Part of this tour shows you this facts from a deep and true perspective, plus the actual indigenous beliefs and traditionalism. Once Copacabana is seen and enjoyed we navigate away to Sun and Moon islands, places of an extraordinary energy and archaeological wealth, places that invite for treks and experiences far beyond your expectations, we spend the first night in a 4* all suits Hotel and the second in an indigenous type basic Hotel on Sun Island , we may also camp in quite desolated and amazing at night star- gazing spots, if you have a rather adventurous spirit, which might want to run free around this magic spots, especially after some spiritual and energetic practices available… make it anyway as desired, discover amazing treasures of Culture and History here plus facts that may make you think about our ancestors wisdom and why and where it was lost; …..did you know that… around Sun Island Bolivia, there are more than 7 temples from the Inca culture submerged…?
*Tips: if you visit Sun Island and plan to stay there overnight, there are many available lodges from basic to hotels, however we recommend : please Do NOT take any big backpack or suitcase there since Lodges and attractives are located after you climb at least 210 steps on a slope and of course you will have to carry all your gear up… so every kilo matters, just take essential for a night or two and don`t get physically stressed on the altitude…There are many stores on the island that sale almost everything as for water, drinks etc. Local boats from Copacabana leave for Sun Island twice a day at 08:00 and 01:30 Pm, ride takes 90 minutes and if you plan a short see & run visit you will only have an hour on the Island to see whatever possible, then ride back… In the event you decide to camp with us do not worry about a thing we will have all gear ready anywhere as for sleeping bags, tents, mattress and more… Just enjoy!
